Look at me posting away! I forgot that I was going to write about Max and the great leaps he has made in the last couple of weeks. 3 huge milestones have been passed!
1. He can now tolerate dairy which makes everyone's lives easier. It opens up so many new options and makes meals simpler. He loves yogurt and wants to eat it all the time. He also does his sign for milk and says, "moo" (Jason told him it was cow's milk)!
2. He sleeps through the night! Finally, at 19 months old, our boy is actually sleeping...and in his own bed for those of you that are wondering.
3. No more nursing! I loved nursing Max...obviously...since he's almost 2! But it was starting to become annoying so we started out limiting it to 3 times a day. Out of those 3, we first eliminated morning. Then, around naptime, we always seemed to be in the car so he would just fall asleep- so that helped to eliminate #2. Now, for the past 3 nights, I've just told him he can't nurse anymore but I'll hold him and he actually takes it very well. A couple of times he's asked to nursed but then he remembers quickly that he doesn't do that anymore so he asks for food instead.
What a big boy, huh? He seems to be able to adjust to new things really well. I think that's a blessing because he will enounter a lot of situations thoughout this year that will require big adjustments.

Yah Maxon! Isn't funny how they all of the sudden seem big! I also recently cut Lucy off. She's taking it pretty well. Can't wait to see you!
I like how he says Moo for milk that is cute!
Isn't it bittersweet? I love all the new things Carter can do but I just know I will blink and he will be all grown up and on his own...I don't know if I can handle this!!
What kind of food does Max like to eat? I am always looking for suggestions...I am not very creative in the food department.
Awwww that is so cute! He is a very smart boy!
He's an adult! Has he applied to colleges yet? Liam used to sleep through the night...now he wants to nurse all the time! I love nursing, but not that much! I love sleep more! So I guess I just need to think of you and be patient!
Congrats on a good night's sleep. Jarom did not sleep through the night until he was 4 years old. I actually had Ezra sleeping through the night before Jarom did. I put Jarom on a vitamine supplement that naturally increased his seratonin and dopamine levels for a few month until he got into the habbit of sleeping through the night. Now he usually does, but that was a LONG 4 years.
I'm incredibly spoiled with sleepers. My kids instinctivly know they must sleep when I want to, or suffer. I think every one has been an all night sleeper by 8 weeks at the latest.
As for nursing, I have to stop every time I conceive a new kid, so with Ethan, it was one year, with Lauren, 18 months, and I guess we'll see with Lily. If I ever say on my blog that I've stopped nursing Lily, you'll know my secret already.
Carrie,
Congrats! Nursing was so hard to stop...I'm glad I wasn't the only one. It took Brayden until he was 15 months to finally stop. And hooray for milk products!!! That will make your life SO much easier!!
By the way....I tagged you!
