Halloween

Maxon was a curious little monkey for Halloween. When we first bought him the costume he wasn't so sure of it. I think he thought it was a real animal or something. The first thing he warmed up to were the feet attached to the bottom of the pants. Max LOVES shoes! (He wants to put them on as soon as he wakes up in the morning and it is quite often that I slip them off of his feet after he falls asleep at night.) So the monkey feet shoes were pretty fun...then there was the banana in his pocket and the curly tail and he was hooked! We practiced "What does a monkey say?" for so long before Halloween and he knows what a monkey says but would rather me say it I think. A family in our branch has a huge get-together every Halloween with lots of icky Halloween things to eat like jello eyeballs and pig snouts (hot dogs) in beans. Kitty litter (rice) with little poos (some sort of meat). We actually went to our friends' house across the street for a quieter, more normal dinner and then stopped by the big party later. Max even went trick-or-treating with his little friends Lauren and Sarah. (He's extremely popular with all of the little girls in the branch!) He really loved riding in the wagon-- for a few seconds-- and then wanted to get out. While taking the pictures in the wagon, he decided he wanted to get out and just fell straight forward onto the driveway. It was actually really funny because his costume has so much padding that he just sort of bounced onto the ground and got right back up.
