I Want Candy

I think people must be born with some sort of intuition for recognizing candy. We haven't really had much candy in our house up until about the second week of October when I decided I wanted to decorate with a jar filled with candy corn and pumpkins. Max knew what they were before he tasted them and he wanted what was in that jar! Then after just one little taste, he was hooked. I don't think it helped that I was a little hooked myself...we have had too much candy lately.
One evening, Jason and I were upstairs and Max walked out of the room and went downstairs by himself. That NEVER happens. He is always by my side. I was curious to what he was up to so I peeked over the bannister and I found him reaching up onto the coffee table into our bowl of trick-or-treat candy. When he saw me, he pulled one out and went, "uh?" (Can I have it?) and when I wouldn't let him, he dropped it back in, pulled out a different kind, "uh?"...no...one more try..."uh?" It was so adorable. I think I ended up letting him have a bite of a Milk Dud...who could honestly resist?

Sad that he couldn't eat any of the candy.

Candy at last!
